Thomas Nielsen is based in Brussels, currently completing an MA in Disaster Management and Resilience at Coventry University. His work analyses non-traditional security risks, focusing on humanitarian crises, disaster preparedness, and critical infrastructure. He also holds a BA in International Relations from the same institution, where his dissertation explored the historical evolution of the weaponisation of trade. Thomas is currently looking to apply his knowledge in political economy, risk, and governance to assess economic security, interdependence, and policy developments relevant to EU-Asia relations.
