Luzi Maj Leonhardt has a background in International Relations and International Law from Leiden University. Her research interests lie in international law, human rights, and regional governance, with a particular focus on South Asia.
Initially joining the European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS) as a Researcher, Luzi focused primarily on topics such as EU-India trade relations and the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), CSR, CRMs, labour rights, and sustainability. Her broader interests include business and human rights, regional cooperation, and the role of regulatory and governance frameworks in shaping relations between Europe and Asia.
Her work has also explored migration governance, and questions of accountability and human rights protection within international legal frameworks.
