Luca Urciuolo

Luca Urciuolo holds a double master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Florence and the State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO) in Moscow. Previously, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Naples ‘l’Orientale.’ Before joining EIAS, he collaborated as an editor and news writer for an Italian think tank focusing on Eurasia, called SpecialEurasia.

His main research interests include the states that were formerly part of the USSR, with a specific focus on the geopolitical and economic dimensions of the Central Asian region. At EIAS he aims to broaden the overall understanding of EU relations towards this critique region for Eurasian stability.
