Alice Consigliere holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics from the University of Genoa and is expected to complete her Master’s degree in International Politics and security at the University of Bologna by March.
Her academic path has increasingly concentrated on East Asian security, maritime geopolitics, and the political economy of strategic interdependence. In particular, she has examined supply chains, strategic maritime chokepoints and the wider Indo-Pacific security environment, with special attention on the Strait of Malacca from the perspectives of littoral states such as Malaysia and Singapore.
During her time at EIAS she aims to develop a deeper understanding of how regional states respond to major-power rivalry and of the role the EU can play in one of the most critical sea lanes.
