Now that we have entered 2024 after the holidays and winter break, we would like to wish you all the very best for the New Year. As this year is a special one for EIAS, celebrating its 35th anniversary, we look forward to a year of festivities and wonderful activities on EU-Asia Affairs. Enjoy the read of this January's edition of our EIAS Newsletter, we look forward to welcoming you at one of our upcoming events and activities, and even as a new EIAS Member.

As 2024 has been announced a “record year for elections around the world” and the “biggest election year in history”, also at EIAS we will be following very closely on the pollings in the EU, Asia, the US and elsewhere around the globe. 2024 preludes a lot of changing and shifting dynamics. Drawing onto a new era, EIAS is also proud to announce its Membership programme, the launch of a podcast series, as well as a number of insightful events and activities. We also have a wide range of Publications lined up for you.

We will kick off the 2024 events season with a Briefing Seminar on “Sri Lanka-EU-Relations: Potential for Stronger Ties and New Economic Opportunities – A Vision for Sri Lanka” on the 30th of January, featuring Hon. M.U.M. Ali Sabry PC, MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, to which you are of course cordially invited.
