The European Institute of Asian Studies and the Asia-Europe Research Centre, School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University had the pleasure of inviting you to the EU-China Forum on “The Future of EU-China Relations – What is Next?” The discussion took place on Tuesday, 30 September 2025 from 14:00 to 17:00, at the EIAS premises, located in Rue de la Loi 26, 10th Floor, B-1040 Brussels, Belgium. The Forum gathered academics, think tankers, researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, and other experts on EU-China Affairs, in particular on Economic and Trade Relations in the first panel and on People-to-People Affairs and Higher Education Cooperation in the second panel.
As we mark the 50th anniversary of EU-China diplomatic relations, the Forum assessed the current status of EU-China Relations in the fields of Economics and Trade, as well as People-to-People Relations, drawing a roadmap for future pathways of collaboration and engagement, taking into account existing challenges but also aspects where enhanced cooperation is deemed possible and desired on both sides.
