Doing Business with China – The Need for Good Quality Control Procedures”

When importing from countries such as China, it is essential to mitigate the possible risks of subcontracting, manufacturing and ordering goods. Although there are many excellent suppliers and manufacturers in China, it is of key importance for companies to adhere to a comprehensive quality assurance framework so as to avoid potential costly consequences in the case anything goes wrong. This briefing seminar will provide an in-depth overview of the main issues surrounding quality control and compliance mechanisms in doing business in and with China, including how to ensure the efficient shipment of goods , and how to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. For companies it is vital to have their products inspected in China according to their standards and needs and to minimise risks with high standard quality control procedures. This particularly in regard to supply chains and pre-shipment, most notably during production, packaging, and labelling processes, compliance with regulatory and phytosanitary requirements, as well as to loading and shipment supervision, quantity verification, documentation, and information for customs purposes, allowing for the correct assessment of import duties and taxes and smooth and effective shipping.
