Thank you for your interest in the Briefing Seminar “Bangladesh: The July 2024 Uprising and Rebuilding of a Nation” which was set to take place at EIAS tomorrow, Wednesday, 23 July 2025 from 11:30 to 13:00, co-organised by the European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS) and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Belgium and Luxembourg and Mission to the European Union. In light of the tragic crash of an Air Force Jet on a school in Dhaka yesterday and the day of national mourning called by the Bangladesh government, it is with deep regret that we inform you of the postponement of the scheduled Briefing Seminar. 

The event will be rescheduled to a later date after the summer break, to be communicated in due course. We send our sincere condolences to those who have lost their loved ones or have been injured in the crash.

Thanking you for your kind understanding and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused. We look forward to welcoming you at EIAS after the Summer Break. .
