Yanis Bourbon holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Queen’s University Belfast, where he received a First-Class Distinction for his dissertation on the internationalisation of Chinese and Japanese currencies in Southeast Asia. He is also completing the final year of his Master’s Degree in Public Administration at Sciences Po Bordeaux.
His academic background demonstrates a strong focus on the political economy of East Asia, which he explored in depth during his studies in the United Kingdom. His primary research interests include Southeast Asia, international trade, global supply chains, and the European Union’s “de-risking” strategy amid the growing regionalization of the global order.
