Valeria Tabelli is a second-year master’s student in International Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies (IMSISS) from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree (University of Glasgow, Dublin City University, Charles University). Valeria already holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Asian Studies from the University of La Sapienza in Rome, specialising in the Chinese language and society.
Currently, she is writing her MA thesis on “Trade and Diplomacy through Interconnectivity: the Belt and Road Initiative and its mitigating role in the South China Sea,” where she assesses how the BRI prevents conflict escalation in the maritime dispute.
Before EIAS, Valeria interned at the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy.
