Monica Lovito is a recent graduate from the professional MA degree in Global Management for China at the University of Macerata, where she graduated with a thesis on the regulation of the green finance governance system in China. She also holds an MA degree in International Cooperation on Development and Human Rights Protection from the University of Bologna, from which she graduated in July 2021 with a thesis on a comparative analysis between the AIIB and the World Bank’s environmental and social policies as envisaged by their respective ESG frameworks.
She is a keen independent researcher on China’s contemporary affairs. She collaborated with China Data Analysis (CDA, in Vienna) on a joint publication on Sino-Italian bilateral STI agreements and FDI flows. She is also a contributing writer for the Italian geopolitics magazine Eurasia. The main interest areas of her research include China’s green finance governance system, China’s foreign policy on development cooperation and foreign aid, Asian development and security matters.
