Kaiser Kang is a final-year student studying for a BSc in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Within his degree, he is specialised in the field of International Political Economy, focusing on topics pertaining to macroeconomic policy making, international finance and international trade. His academic interest is geographically specialised in Asia, particularly its economic engagement with the EU, the US and other partners.
At EIAS, his research is focused on the political economy of East and Southeast Asia, with a particular emphasis on free trade agreements, the Belt and Road initiative, emerging Asian markets and political risk analysis. He is also interested in the geopolitical developments of Taiwan, particularly on ways to improve Taiwanese economic engagement with the EU.
