Holly O’Mahony is currently studying for a Master in International Affairs at the Graduate Institute of Geneva. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. In her studies, she is specialising in Global Security with a minor specialisation in International Trade and Finance. Her interests include contemporary international security, the political economy of conflict and macroeconomics. She also has a particular geographic interest in Chinese politics, gained through her experience living in Guangzhou, China in 2020.
At EIAS, Holly O’Mahony’s research will focus on EU-China security cooperation, the role of China in global security, and the potential of the Belt and Road Initiative to affect stability and existing conflicts in the regions where it operates.
