Dilara Kasikci is a recent Master’s degree graduate in International Relations with a focus on diplomacy and conflict management from UCLouvain. During her studies, she spent a semester at the National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan where she gained deeper understanding of Northeast Asian affairs. Moreover, she wrote her master’s thesis on Japan’s pacifist identity and how it is evolving vis-à-vis Japan’s relations with China and South Korea.
Her main research interests include East Asia, more specifically Japan’s foreign relations with China, South Korea and the Indo-Pacific region in general, as well as focus on the EU’s relations with East Asia on security and geopolitical topics.
