Cora Fagan is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin where she has conducted research about the EU’s relationships with China’s Belt and Road Initiative. She has also completed two semesters at the University of Hong Kong and explored the international relations of East Asia. Back home she has worked alongside political consultants in America working in New York City elections to increase representation at the local level. After that, she worked with an American non-profit to examine the relationship that businesses have with American democracy and how to protect it. At EIAS, her research mainly focuses on the relationship that Europe has with the Belt and Road Initiative, both within and outside of Europe.
