Baptiste Dupont is a young French researcher currently enjoying a gap-year between his Bachelor and Master’s degrees at Sciences Po, Paris. During his Bachelor degree studies in Social Sciences, he focused on North-America and Atlantic relations, majoring in “Politics and Government”. Additionally, he is completing a Law degree at the Panthéon – Sorbonne University.
After a remote exchange experience with Simon Fraser University located in British Columbia, Canada, and an internship at the French Mission to the United Nations in New York, he is especially interested in Sino-European, Sino-French, and Sino-American Relations. His main focus of research is centred around diplomatic and international relations, as well as cultural diplomacy and influence. His research at EIAS will focus EU-China relations and opening his perspectives towards the Southeast Asian region and ASEAN.
Looking forward to his Master’s degree focusing on European Affairs and Public Administration at Sciences Po, Paris starting in September 2022, he is keen to deepen his relations with Asia by learning Mandarin Chinese and studying Chinese History.
