Aurora Bonini holds a double Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Turin and the University of Tongji in Shanghai. During her studies, she focused on China’s social, political, and economic dynamics, the geopolitics of the Asia-Pacific, and multilateral diplomacy. Before joining the European Institute for Asian Studies, she gained experience at the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) in Rome and at the Consulate General of Italy in Mumbai.
At EIAS, her main research interests include China’s foreign and development policy, in particular in Southeast Asia and South Asia, as well as EU-India relations, multilateral diplomacy, as well as China-EU cooperation with a specific focus on development cooperation, including the climate dimension.
